The Eid Al Adha sermon was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Salem Al Doubi, who reflected on the profound impact and value of sincerity—both spiritually and nationally. He emphasised that sincerity leads to pure intentions and righteous deeds, noting that the highest form of sincerity is towards God Almighty. This sincerity is the foundation of worship, the secret to closeness with God, and the key to acceptance. It is, he said, a covenant between the servant and their Lord.
He also highlighted the importance of sincerity to one's nation—demonstrated through swift service, upholding its reputation, abiding by its laws, and cherishing its customs and traditions.
Sheikh Al Doubi urged everyone to embody sincerity within their families and communities, through honouring parents, maintaining family ties, and showing kindness to one’s spouse and children. These values, he explained, contribute to a healthy society, one that is united like a single body. He stressed the importance of compassion and visiting one another to spread love, unity, and joy among families, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
In conclusion, Sheikh Salem Al Doubi prayed that God Almighty continue to bestow joyful occasions upon the United Arab Emirates, granting it ongoing peace and security. He also prayed for the wise leadership, the people of the UAE, and all residents, asking God to bless them with good health and well-being. He prayed for God’s acceptance for the pilgrims’ rites, asking that their Hajj be accepted, their sins forgiven, and their return safe and full of reward.
