Khorfakkan Hospital, part of Emirates Health Services (EHS), was awarded international accreditation for its Clinical Care Program for Diabetes. This certification is part of EHS’s strategy to enhance healthcare services to meet the highest international benchmarks.
Dr. Al Baloushi noted that the accreditation, granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI), signifies a major improvement in the quality, precision, and integration of healthcare services at the hospital’s "Imtiyaz" Center for Diabetes and Cardiology. It also acknowledges the hard work of the hospital's teams, who dedicated the past year to meeting the required standards.
In an interview with “Sharjah24”, Al Baloushi explained that the preparation involved thorough evaluations, staff training, protocol development, and upgrading the center’s facilities, which include diabetes, nutrition, and mental health clinics, as well as a cardiac diagnostic unit and a health education facility.
He emphasised that the centre is equipped with the latest medical technologies for diagnosis and treatment, ensuring holistic care for diabetes patients that addresses both physical and psychological needs. Al Baloushi reiterated the hospital's commitment to enhancing patient satisfaction and happiness through continuous service improvements and international accreditations.
