Sharjah 24: As part of its mission to instil religious values and deepen children’s understanding of the Holy Qur’an, Sharjah Children – affiliated with Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators – has launched the “Journey with the Quran” programme. Organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE), the initiative targets 80 boys and girls aged between 6 and 12 throughout 2025.

The programme aims to raise children’s awareness about the significance of memorising the Quran

The programme aims to raise children’s awareness about the significance of memorising the Quran and studying its sciences. It seeks to reinforce their religious values and introduce them to key Qur’anic concepts in a way that is accessible and age-appropriate.

Among the key components of the programme is instruction in the “Qaida Noorania”, a simplified and effective methodology that teaches children the correct pronunciation of Qur’anic letters and words. This foundational skill serves as a stepping stone for proper recitation and Tajweed. The curriculum also includes memorisation of several short surahs from the Qur’an, along with simplified explanations of their meanings to enhance understanding, support memorisation, and foster a deep connection with Qur’anic values.

Part of a wider series of initiatives by Sharjah Children

This programme is part of a wider series of initiatives by Sharjah Children to cultivate a generation rooted in national identity and strong religious values. It is implemented in collaboration with key institutions, most notably the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation, which played a vital role in achieving the programme’s objectives. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment as a proactive community partner in nurturing conscious, empowered youth who contribute to the development of society by internalising essential religious and educational principles.
