Sharjah24: Sharjah Club’s (A) junior handball team captured the 2024–2025 UAE Handball Cup title after a convincing 25–17 victory over Shabab Al Ahli in the final match. The game took place on Thursday evening at the outdoor courts of Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club. This latest win marks Sharjah’s fifth consecutive cup triumph in the junior category and the seventh overall in the club’s history, reaffirming their dominance in youth handball.

Shabab Al Ahli finish runners-up

Nasser Salem Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the UAE Handball Federation, presented Sharjah with the championship trophy and gold medals, while Shabab Al Ahli received the silver medals for securing second place in the competition.

A double triumph for the junior team

With this cup win, Sharjah’s junior team has now achieved the prestigious double title this season, having previously secured the junior league championship. Their performance throughout the year has solidified their status as one of the strongest teams in the youth circuit.

Youth teams shine across all categories

Sharjah Club’s success extends beyond the junior level. The club also claimed the league shield in all youth divisions, including youth, cadets, and juniors, underlining the depth and quality of their development system. Additionally, the youth team bagged both the Super Cup and the Cup titles, further adding to the club’s impressive trophy haul this season.

Cadets prepare for final showdown

Sharjah’s cadet team is now preparing for their own moment of glory, as they gear up to face Khorfakkan in the UAE Cup final on Sunday. The upcoming match presents another opportunity for the club to expand its silverware collection and close the season on a high note.
