Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council is participating in the 32nd edition of the Arabian Travel Market 2025, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 28 to May 1. The participation falls under the Sharjah Pavilion, overseen by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, alongside 25 entities from both the public and private sectors. The exhibition is expected to attract 55,000 visitors from 161 countries.
Delegation members
The council's delegation includes Zakia Suhail Al Mashrekh, Head of Media in the Government Communication Department; Maryam Saeed Al Nuaimi, Acting Head of Public Relations; Ali Omran, Head of Photography and Editing; and Safia Al Zarouni, Graphic Designer in the department.
Importance of participation
Mohammed Ali Bin Hamad, Director of the Government Communication Department, confirmed that participating in this event presents a great opportunity for the Sharjah Sports Council to showcase its role in sports within the emirate. It also highlights how community sports events can enhance tourism promotion for the emirate's cities by hosting various events that attract diverse nationalities, reflecting a vibrant image of the beauty, richness, and diversity of the emirate’s cities on an international level. He also noted that the exhibition serves as a platform to open communication channels with external entities, strengthening opportunities for partnership exchanges, proposals, and ideas, thus emphasizing the role of sports in tourism.
