The race programme featured 16 rounds dedicated to the weaning age category, spanning a distance of 1,500 meters. These included eight rounds for female camels from Al Dhaid, four challenging rounds exclusive to Al Dhaid residents, and four open rounds, showcasing a range of young racing talent.
His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Mu'adhd bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, highlighted the cultural importance of camel racing as a cherished Arab tradition. He praised the unwavering support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in preserving this heritage through year-round sponsorship of camel racing events.
Al Ketbi noted that the "weaning age" races, held through a direct grant from His Highness, play a vital role in passing on the values and traditions of this historic sport to younger generations, ensuring its continuity and cultural significance.
