Sharjah24: On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, raised the flag signifying the accreditation of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club as an international training center for modern sailing, granted by the International Sailing Federation.
The event was attended by His Excellency Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Club, and His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani, Vice President of the Sharjah Sports Council. This ceremony coincided with the club's organisation of the "Al Hamriyah International Modern Sailing Championship" and its hosting of the third round of the Emirates Champion Championship, along with the global "Vigital" sailing competition.
