The visit aimed to learn about the latest technologies used in wastewater treatment plants, which directly contribute to reducing the cost and development of the treatment system, reducing the space used for the treatment plant, and reducing carbon emissions.
The visit comes in line with the department's vision to achieve sustainable infrastructure development and enhance the implementation of treatment plant projects efficiently, and to meet the requirements of Sharjah.
During the field visit to existing treatment plants, company officials reviewed the results of the latest treatment systems implemented in existing projects. These systems have proven highly effective in treatment at reasonable capital and operating costs, while improving the quality of treated water, reducing the environmental impact, and enhancing the operational efficiency of treatment plants.
The two sides also discussed ways of cooperation and exchanging expertise to implement these advanced solutions in future projects.
Engineer Hind Al Hashimi emphasised that this visit is part of the department's strategy to research and verify the latest sustainable solutions in the world, and to utilise the most appropriate modern and advanced methods and implement them in a manner that serves sustainable development goals.
