Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, the Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, highlighted that this annual campaign shows the municipality's dedication to social responsibility and aligns with the goals of the "Year of Community 2025." He mentioned that the initiative aims to promote values of kindness and support, encouraging cooperation among everyone in the community.
The campaign has been well-received by those benefiting from it, who have expressed their gratitude for this generous act, reflecting the true spirit of Emirati culture.
Al Shamsi further explained that teams from the municipality have started giving out iftar meals to people passing by and using main roads in the Hamriyah area. They are focusing on places where many workers and those with lower incomes gather, including the entrance to the Hamriyah Free Zone, to reach as many people as possible.
Additionally, the distribution teams are taking the time to remind drivers about the importance of safe driving, especially as iftar time approaches, to avoid speeding and any potential accidents. He stressed that the efforts of the municipality go beyond just providing meals; they also aim to raise community awareness and ensure everyone’s safety during Ramadan.
Al Shamsi wrapped up his statement by highlighting Al Hamriyah Municipality’s dedication to ongoing community programs that foster human connection and strengthen the bonds within the community. This aligns with their main goal of recognizing humanitarian efforts and encouraging a spirit of volunteering and charitable work in Sharjah.
