Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer) is preparing to launch the Certified Mentor Programme, a unique initiative designed to qualify participants and enhance their mentoring skills.

The programme, running from April 14 to July 31, aims to provide individuals aged 25 and above with the necessary training to lead professionally-oriented mentorship programmes, meeting the highest international standards. Participants will earn the Certified Mentor certification from the International Mentoring Federation upon successful completion.

Key skills developed

The Certified Mentor Programme offers an intensive educational experience where participants will gain critical skills such as adhering to ethical guidelines, building self-confidence, and developing effective communication and listening abilities. Additionally, they will learn information-gathering techniques to enhance communication between mentors and mentees, develop strategies for goal-setting, and manage diverse situations with professionalism.

Statement from Dr Da'is Ibrahim Al Nakhi

Dr Da'is Ibrahim Al Nakhi, Director of the Sharjah Capability Development, emphasised the importance of mentoring in fostering both professional and personal growth. He stated, "Mentoring is one of the most important tools that helps individuals achieve professional and personal growth, and at Tatweer, we believe that preparing qualified mentors contributes to building more aware and productive societies." He further explained that the programme is not only about obtaining a certificate but also a comprehensive journey that empowers participants to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Practical and applied content
