Sharjah 24: His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, announced the successful conclusion of the 14th edition of the Ramadan Majlis, organised by the Sharjah Press Club. The event, held in Aljada, saw the participation of a select group of intellectual, cultural, and media figures. The sessions were marked by significant interaction from the attendees.

Broad engagement in meaningful dialogue

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay revealed that the Majlis included four dialogue sessions on various topics. These sessions attracted broad participation, reflecting the importance of the Majlis as a platform for community dialogue and meaningful discussion. The event served as an opportunity for thoughtful engagement on key societal issues.

Sessions aligned with "Year of Community 2025"

In exclusive statements to Sharjah 24, His Excellency Tariq Allay explained that this year’s sessions were aligned with the UAE’s "Year of Community 2025" initiative. The focus was on enhancing social awareness and discussing challenges facing individuals and society. The sessions featured a select group of experts from various fields, offering insights on important issues.

Notable speakers addressed key topics

This year’s Majlis featured distinguished speakers, including Dr Ahmed Amara, a mental health consultant, who discussed healthy relationships, and poet and writer Hamoud Al Sahoud, who spoke about culture and heritage in Arabic literature. Dr Khaled Al Ghattas, a content creator focused on human behaviour, explored values and beliefs, while preacher Mustafa Hosni addressed family dynamics, generational formation, and the foundations of proper upbringing and education.

Expanding the scope of future sessions

The Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau further noted that the council was not limited to the main sessions but also included side sessions that enriched community discussion. He emphasised that future editions of the Ramadan Majlis will see an expansion in topics, particularly focusing on youth, children, and family issues, strengthening the council’s role as a platform for meaningful community dialogue.
