Al Hamriyah Municipality launches Iftar campaign for road users

The campaign emphasises the values of giving and compassion that characterise Emirati society.

This initiative aligns with the directives of the wise leadership, which designated 2025 as the year for consolidating the concept of a cohesive and united society. It also contributes to promoting social solidarity and implementing the initiatives of 2025 being the “Year of Community”.

Al Hamriyah Municipality is keen to implement initiatives that strengthen social ties and instill a culture of charitable and volunteer work among individuals and institutions.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, stated that this annual campaign reflects the municipality's commitment to its social responsibility. It promotes the values of goodness and solidarity, and is in line with the objectives of designating 2025 as the “Year of Community”.

The campaign is part of Al Hamriyah Municipality's efforts to foster a spirit of cooperation and participation in building a more inclusive and sustainable society.

Al Shamsi noted that the campaign was widely welcomed by beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for this generous gesture.

Al Shamsi explained that Al Hamriyah Municipality staff, represented by its human resources in the Municipal Control and Inspection Department, has begun distributing Iftar meals to all road users in Al Hamriyah, especially as the Iftar time approaches.

Drivers are advised to be careful while driving and not to rush to catch the Iftar time, as this can lead to violations and accidents that expose drivers and road users to harm and damage.

Al Shamsi concluded by saying that the municipality's employees are keen to take the initiative and distribute Iftar meals to those fasting in areas with a high population density of workers, low-income groups, and road users in Al Hamriyah area and the entrance to Al Hamriyah Free Zone.

The initiative is part of the municipality’s Ramadan community initiatives, which aim to strengthen the cohesion of the social fabric and is part of the municipality's strategic vision and mission to consolidate humanitarian efforts and enhance community cohesion within the municipality's surrounding.
