Distributing 2,550 food items
The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, and distributed 2,550 food items to needy families in the suburb, promoting the values of social solidarity and consolidating the principles of humanitarian giving.
This initiative is part of a series of recurring initiatives organised by the Council, affirming its community mission to support families and alleviate their living burdens during the holy month.
The initiative implementation is overseen by the Council Chairman and Vice Chairman, along with members, employees, and the Volunteer Committee team, who are dedicated to studying the conditions of needy families and ensuring that aid reaches those who deserve it, within the framework of a work system that reflects the spirit of social responsibility and enhances community cohesion.
Providing basic needs to families
In this context, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, emphasised that the initiative aims to provide the basic needs of needy families, reflecting the Council's humanitarian role in providing decent living conditions and promoting family stability.
Al Marri noted that such efforts reflect the Council's commitment to contributing to supporting the community and meeting its needs, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, which represents an occasion to promote the values of solidarity and giving.
Achieving sustainable positive impact
Concluding his remarks, Al Marri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Emirates Red Crescent, represented by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Junaibi, Director of Sharjah Red Crescent Centre, and all the Authority's employees, for their ongoing efforts in supporting community initiatives. Al Marri emphasised the continued close cooperation between the Council and the Authority to enhance humanitarian services and expand the scope of community initiatives, achieving a sustainable positive impact on the suburb and society as a whole.
