UAEFA reveals mechanism for UAE clubs in Asian tournaments

Sharjah 24: The UAE Football Association (UAEFA) has unveiled the participation structure for UAE clubs in Asian Football Confederation tournaments for the upcoming season. This includes both the AFC Champions League for Elite and AFC Champions League 2.

AFC Champions League for Elite participation

UAE clubs will secure two direct spots in the AFC Champions League for Elite. One spot is allocated to the champion of the ADNOC Professional League for the 2024-2025 season, while the other goes to the President's Cup winner for the same season. Additionally, the runner-up of the ADNOC Professional League will participate in the tournament through the play-off.

AFC Champions League 2 participation

For the AFC Champions League 2, one spot is awarded to the third-place finisher in the ADNOC Professional League. In the event that the league champion also wins the President's Cup, the runner-up of the ADNOC Professional League will receive the direct seat. The third-place team will enter the play-off, and the fourth-place team will receive a direct play-off spot for the AFC Champions League 2.
