Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation participated in the fourth session of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Conference, organized by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of its pioneering efforts in the field of social responsibility and humanitarian work.

The conference enhanced dialogue on the legislative and cognitive framework and field practices of humanitarian work and the challenges associated with them to find innovative practical solutions in accordance with the principles and standards of humanitarian work and contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development.

 

In this context, Munira Al Yafei, Deputy Director General of the Foundation, stated: “Our participation in the conference reflects our commitment to our role and vision in achieving sustainable empowerment for orphans and their families.Strengthening cooperation with humanitarian actors to exchange experiences and best practices in achieving sustainability and ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.She stressed: This participation represented an important opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas and best practices to develop humanitarian work, to ensure the achievement of sustainability and comprehensive development, as the most prominent opportunities and challenges in humanitarian work were presented with the aim of developing innovative, sustainable and effective solutions for humanitarian response.Anticipating and developing humanitarian work through scientific research and data quality governance, including studies based on evidence-based practices and evidence.

 

She continued: The conference came out with a set of recommendations that included recognition of the collective duty and shared responsibility to confront urgent humanitarian challenges through joint action and humanitarian diplomacy.Emphasizing the firm commitment to the basic humanitarian principles and the principles of international humanitarian law in all humanitarian efforts around the world, and stressed the importance of commitment to strengthening deep cooperation across all sectors by developing production chains and supporting innovative solutions;In addition to supporting local capacities and enhancing the interconnected approach between humanitarian work, development and peace, as well as providing support to strengthen partnerships that contribute to empowering affected individuals and communities, and enhancing social cohesion.

 

The pledge was renewed to move forward towards finding sustainable and effective solutions to support affected groups, thus contributing to positive change in our global community.She concluded: “Through this participation, we look forward to contributing to the development of the humanitarian work system, enhancing its role in supporting beneficiary groups, and consolidating the values of solidarity and community cooperation, in a way that achieves the goals of sustainable development and ensures a decent life for beneficiaries.”
