Sharjah24: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has officially announced the successful completion of a significant development project in the Al Burair area. This initiative is designed to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety for all users in the region. The authority's latest initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the emirate's road network.

His Excellency Engineer Yousef Khamis Al-Othmani, Chairman of the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah, announced the details of a new infrastructure initiative. The project features the development of a single-lane road designed for traffic in both directions, extending over a length of 2 kilometers and measuring 7.3 meters in width. A new road has been established, linking the Khorfakkan Road with the Sharjah Falconers Club.

Supporting Development and Tourism

Al Othmani highlighted that this initiative is in line with the authority’s strategic vision aimed at creating a modern and sustainable infrastructure that fosters comprehensive development in Sharjah. The initiative is designed to address the needs of residents, improve mobility, and uphold the emirate's dedication to creating a high-quality and safe road network.

The project aims to enhance accessibility for visitors to the region while bolstering local tourism and sports initiatives, including falconry, thereby reinforcing Sharjah’s status as an ideal location for cultural heritage events. The project has been constructed in accordance with the highest engineering standards, guaranteeing the sustainability of the road infrastructure.

This initiative is a key component of a wider strategic partnership among multiple government agencies in Sharjah, aimed at ensuring that infrastructure projects are in harmony with the requirements of urban development. The Sharjah RTA is actively pursuing specialised projects designed to enhance the quality of life and ensure a safe, sustainable transportation environment for both residents and visitors.
