Sharjah 24: His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Al Sabousi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, received Her Excellency Maryam Ali Al Maamari, Head of the Higher Committee for "Ramadan Ajman" events, and her accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Department, where the two parties discussed enhancing joint cooperation, and discussed the mechanism for attracting 10 distinguished reciters from the imams of Sharjah mosques, to participate in the activities of the "Ramadan Ajman" programme this year.

Empowering young talents

The meeting comes within the framework of preparing for the holy month of Ramadan to enhance cooperation between religious institutions in Sharjah, and open new horizons to empower young talents, and highlight the civilized face of the UAE in serving the Holy Quran and its teachings.

Promoting Islamic values

The meeting also aims to unify efforts to support local Quranic talents, and enrich religious activities during the holy month, in line with the vision of the two parties in promoting Islamic values, consecrating cultural identity, and providing a faith-based atmosphere for worshipers during the holy month, by selecting qualified reciters according to precise criteria based on mastery, sweet voice, and the ability to influence.

His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yarouf Al Sabousi stressed during the meeting the commitment of Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs to support initiatives that promote the Holy Quran and its sciences, noting that the step comes in line with their strategy aimed at discovering and nurturing Quranic talents, and presenting them as an example to be followed in society.

Enhancing the spiritual atmosphere

Al Sabousi praised the "Ramadan Ajman" programme, which is one of the most prominent Ramadan initiatives that embody the values of community communication and enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the Emirates, through its various activities that touch the hearts of the public and have left a positive impact on the souls of citizens and residents.

Organisers of "Ramadan Ajman" confirmed that hosting distinguished reciters from the imams of Sharjah mosques is a qualitative addition to the programme's activities, which this year seeks to diversify Quranic segments and ensure wide participation from different emirates, enriching the spiritual experience of the public during the holy month.
