Amina Al Awadi maintained her impressive performance in the Compound Archery category for women by clinching the gold medal. Sarah Al Mazmi distinguished herself by securing victory in the Compound Archery category for U-18 girls, showcasing her remarkable talent.
The thrill carried on to the second day of competition. Salama Al Ali secured the silver medal in the Recurve Archery category for U-12. In the U-15 girls’ Recurve Archery category, Samia Odiniva secured first place, while Shahd Jawhar took second. In the U-12 Compound Archery category, Moza Al Shamsi achieved gold, while Alia Al Shamsi earned the silver medal, and Shamma Al Shamsi finished in third place, highlighting the emergence of a new, determined generation in archery.
Elina Lapsina, the technical director of archery at Sharjah Women's Sports Club, commended the players’ performance throughout the tournament. She observed that the women excelled on the podiums during the first day, underscoring their dedication to training and preparation. Elena also noted the remarkable progress of younger athletes, many of whom broke their personal records, suggesting a promising future for the sport. She conveyed assurance in the players' capacity for additional accomplishments, highlighting the excellence of the club’s training programs.
Fatima Al Blooshi, who won silver in the Women's Recurve category, shared her contentment with her performance, highlighting the intense competition that motivated her to excel. She expressed, "I take pride in what I accomplished during this phase." Each competition presents a chance to grow and enhance my skills, and I am grateful to the coaching staff and my teammates for their unwavering support.
Hessa Al Awadi, the gold medallist in the Women’s Recurve category, expressed her enthusiasm about the victory, crediting her achievement to her unwavering dedication and the obstacles she encountered throughout the competition.
