Post-match, Coach Karim Bin Ayad praised the team's performance, saying, "This victory wouldn't have been possible without everyone's collective effort, from the players to the technical and administrative staff, alongside the continuous support from the club's management. The players were up to the challenge and successfully implemented the tactical plan with precision, maintaining their focus despite the match pressure."
He added, "We were well aware of the match's importance and the strength of our opponent. Semi-final matches always have a different character and require maximum concentration. We succeeded in capitalising on our excellent serving, which gave us the advantage in setting the match's pace."
Latifa Al Kaabi, a player for Sharjah Women's Sports Club, expressed her joy at the win, stating, "It was a tough match as we expected, especially facing a team with such great experience. Despite losing the first set, we didn't lose focus and managed to come back strongly and control the game's rhythm."
With this victory, Sharjah Women's Sports Club has one foot in the final, but they're aware that the job isn't finished yet. The decisive second leg against Al Wasl is scheduled for 22 February 2025, and the team is prepared to face the challenge and secure their place in the final, continuing their pursuit of the title.
