Sharjah24: According to Amna Al Askar, curator of the Sharjah Fort at the Sharjah Museums Authority, the yearly 'Hag Al Laila' event in the UAE encourages gratitude, kindness, respect, and love among all members of the community, whether they are citizens or residents. At the occasion held at the fort, she delivered the following remarks.
As stated by Al Askar, "Hag Al Laila" is a much-loved event that preserves Emirati culture while also bringing back fond memories of one's youth. By teaching kids to be thankful and respectful when they get presents from their elders, this ceremony hopes to inculcate traditional values in the next generation.
