Sharjah24: The Dibba Al Hisn Municipality celebrated Haq Al Laila, which marks the middle of Sha'ban, in a festive setting brimming with love and contentment. There were a number of customary events, contests, and heritage-themed activities held at the municipality's offices, and employees from all around the city came out to celebrate.
Emirati traditions are brought back to life
In an effort to preserve Emirati customs and traditions, the celebration sought to emphasise the role of the municipality in enhancing community involvement in historical events. Additionally, it aimed to help kids feel more connected to their ancestry and their country.

Community involvement
The event featured a variety of Emirati heritage segments, including a heritage session designed to educate employees and their children about traditional values and customs. Traditional Emirati sweets and dishes were served, and gifts were distributed to attendees.

Additionally, the celebration included several art workshops, a special heritage-themed photo corner, and the participation of productive families. The event concluded with an Emirati heritage competition, adding an interactive element to the festivities.

Remarks on cultural preservation
The Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, said that the municipality is working to bring back genuine Emirati traditions and heritage through Haq Al Laila celebrations, which also bring people together and make them feel more connected to one another.
