Sharjah24 : Shamsa Al Mazrouei, Head of the Wadi Al Helo Office at the Department of Culture, affirmed the department's commitment to promoting cultural heritage, strengthening national identity, and upholding religious values through the celebration of Haq Al Leila, coinciding with the mid of the blessed month of Sha'ban in Wadi Al Helo.
The Department of Culture in the Eastern Region, represented by the Wadi Al Helo Office, organised a large event titled "Haq Al Leila" on Thursday to mark the mid of Sha'ban.
Shamsa Al Mazrouei stated that the event aims to enhance cultural heritage and instill authentic customs and traditions in the new generations.
In a statement to Sharjah 24, she noted that the event included the distribution of gifts and sweets to local residents, involving dozens of children throughout the neighborhood.
She explained that the joyful event, which brought happiness to the community, especially the children, took place in the courtyard of the local council and featured a handicrafts section, traditional food stalls, a mini-exhibition on "Harees," and a model of old shops. Various competitions and games for children were also held during the event.
