Sharjah 24: Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled recently held a meeting with the Sharjah Women's Sports to discuss methods of cooperation and coordination in sports, community, and cultural development. The meeting aimed to strengthen relations, foster effective communication, and exchange ideas between the two organizations in order to elevate their joint efforts and enhance their contributions to society.

Collaboration goals and vision

The goal of the meeting was to explore ways to work together more effectively, implement programmes, and utilise shared resources to achieve mutual objectives. Both parties aimed to benefit from each other’s experiences and strengthen their relationships with institutions across the Emirate of Sharjah.

Representatives from Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled included His Excellency Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and other key members of the club. From Sharjah Women's Sports, notable attendees included His Excellency Counselor Dr Abdul Aziz Al Noman and Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice President of SWS.

Commitment to cooperation

Abdullah Saleh emphasised the club's commitment to working with the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, particularly in supporting various sports competitions, events, and championships. He noted that this cooperation reflects the club’s desire to open new communication channels and contribute to the advancement of sports in society.

Importance of collaboration in building healthy generations

Louay Saeed Allay praised the efforts made by the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled in supporting athletes in the Eastern Region. He expressed the importance of forming such partnerships with sports institutions to create a lasting impact on the development of healthy generations.

Support for women’s sports in the UAE

Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud highlighted the importance of supporting and encouraging Emirati women in sports. She emphasized the commitment to developing sports for women in the UAE, creating an environment for them to excel, compete, and gain valuable experience, in line with the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Women's Sports.
