Exploratory visits, events at 10th International Scout Gathering

The 10th International Scout Gathering - Sharjah 2025 continues to impress with a series of events promoting sustainability, environmental conservation, and positive values. This morning, participants embarked on an exploratory trip to the Eastern Region, visiting natural landmarks that highlight the harmony between humans and nature. The tour featured the Kalba Birds of Prey Centre, where scouts observed bird displays emphasising biodiversity conservation, and the Hanging Gardens in Kalba, offering scenic hikes and panoramic views. The visit ended at Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre, a model for wildlife preservation. In addition, interactive workshops focused on health and environmental awareness, including discussions on sustainability in agriculture and promoting healthy lifestyles. Mohammed Bassam, Arab Region Representative of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, led a session on public health and well-being. The gathering, with over 80 countries participating, provides a platform for scouts to share ideas on sustainable development and strengthen global cooperation in protecting the environment.

Exploration tour in the Eastern Region

As part of the event, participants embarked on an exploratory trip to the Eastern Region, visiting environmental and natural landmarks. The tour began at the Kalba Birds of Prey Centre, where scouts observed live bird displays, emphasising the importance of biodiversity conservation. They then visited the Hanging Gardens in Kalba, a beautiful blend of nature and modern architecture, offering scenic mountain trails and panoramic views. The tour concluded at Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre, where scouts learned about efforts to sustain the environment and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting natural resources.

Interactive workshops on health and environmental awareness

The gathering also featured interactive workshops to enhance participants' awareness of health and sustainability. A health and well-being workshop, led by Mohammed Bassam, the Arab Region Representative of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, discussed the importance of healthy habits for improving quality of life and supporting sustainable development. The scouts exchanged ideas on how to promote health awareness within their communities.

Additionally, a workshop focused on agricultural sustainability, exploring innovative environmental solutions and the role of youth in shaping sustainable agricultural practices. This session highlighted the importance of developing environmentally friendly farming techniques and the significant contributions of young people to future environmental strategies.
