Sharjah24: A delegation from the University of Sharjah, consisting of professors and a group of students, visited the sites of two major projects: the International Cultural Center in University City and the Music College at the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy. Both projects are being developed under the supervision of the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) . The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the progress of the engineering and architectural phases, as well as to explore the methods and strategies used in executing cultural and educational projects that aim to enrich both the academic and artistic landscapes of the emirate.
During the visit, engineers from the Sharjah Department of Public Works offered a detailed briefing on the architectural plans and technical standards implemented in the construction of these projects, alongside the cutting-edge building technologies adopted to ensure top-tier quality and sustainability. The delegation also toured the planned facilities for the Music College, which will include state-of-the-art training studios, sound laboratories, and performance halls for musical events.

The visitors expressed their gratitude for the Sharjah Department of Public Works’ dedication to creating projects that meet the academic and artistic needs of the community. The Music College will feature both educational and practical spaces, including a 1,100-seat concert hall, music recording studios, training rooms, practice studios, and a music library.
