Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, emphasised the importance of the Sharjah International Athletics Forum for the Disabled, describing it as a significant event featuring 181 athletes who embody the spirit of challenge and determination.
He stated that the meeting is an opportunity to celebrate these exceptional athletes and to learn from them the beautiful concept that strong will can achieve the impossible.
Regarding the athletes from Khorfakkan Club, Al Naqbi announced that they won 4 medals on the first day: two gold medals for Maryam Al Zeyoudi and Aisha Al Khalidi, and two silver medals for Maryam Al Matroushi and Abdullah Al Musbahy.
He expressed gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support of sports and athletes. He also thanked the organising committee of the meeting and Sharjah Sports Channel for their live coverage of the races, wishing everyone success.
