PR to announce Sharjah's 10th International Scout Gathering

Sharjah 24: The Higher Organising Committee of the 10th International Scout Gathering is set to hold a press conference on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sharjah Scout Commission headquarters. The event will unveil the most recent preparations for the gathering, set to occur in Sharjah with the theme "Scouting and Sustainable Development."

A platform to highlight Sharjah’s leadership in scouting

The press conference will act as an important media platform to emphasise this global event, illustrating the UAE’s leadership in supporting the scouting movement and Sharjah’s contribution to promoting coexistence and community service.

A global assembly under Ruler of Sharjah

Scheduled over 8 to 17 February 2025 and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, this 10-day event will unite Scouts from across the globe to advocate for sustainability, social responsibility, and awareness of pressing global issues such as climate change, health, education, and environmental conservation.

Key speakers will outline the final event preparations

The press conference will showcase prominent speakers, including Major General Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Scout Commission and General Supervisor of the Higher Organising Committee; Adel Karam, General Leader of the Gathering; Abdulrahman Jaber, General Coordinator of the Committees; and Dr. Hisham Abdelhalim, Chairman of the Media Committee.

Diverse programme to engage Scouts worldwide

The event will outline the gathering’s programme, featuring interactive activities, training workshops, awareness lectures, and cultural events that highlight Emirati heritage. Furthermore, discussion panels will delve into Scouting’s contribution to advancing sustainable development goals and promoting international collaboration among youth globally.
