Dibba Al Hisn Municipality provides 18,000 services in 2024

Services included all the basic municipal, engineering, health, agricultural, environmental services to citizens, residents and visitors.

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the directors of municipalities in the emirate to carry out daily field survey tours, before starting work in the offices, Dibba Al Hisn Municipality provided more than 30 various services to residents in all fields, with the aim of meeting the needs of citizens, residents and visitors to the city in a way that ensures their comfort and happiness.

These great efforts confirm the municipality's commitment to enhancing the level of public services and achieving the emirate's strategic vision in building a developed and sustainable society, which contributes to providing a healthy and safe living environment, reflecting the dedication to serving citizens and residents alike.

Customer and Employee Happiness Department realises 3,076 services

In this context, Maryam Rashidou, Director of the Customer and Employee Happiness Department, said that the total number of customer and employee happiness services reached 3,076 services, distributed between the implementation of 534 family housing contracts, 382 commercial contracts, 6 employee housing contracts, 3 bachelor housing contracts, and one contract for workers' housing. The number of customer requests from the Sharjah Call Center reached 1,920 requests, and the number of requests for external advertising permits reached 224, while the department's services included providing 6 certificates of good conduct.

The Agriculture Department delivers 909 services during 2024

Khadija Najib, in charge of the Agriculture Department at Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, confirmed that 909 various services were provided during 2024. The most prominent of these services is the agricultural advisor service, which includes tree pruning, tree and shrub removal, in addition to supplying agricultural seedlings and agricultural sand. The services also included spraying agricultural pesticides and providing agricultural support workers upon request.

Engineering Services Department provides 122 services

Engineer Raja Mohammed Al Naqbi, Director of the Engineering Services Department at the Municipality, explained that the total services provided by the department amounted to 122 services, including 67 requests to approve sewage plans for projects (new, additions or modifications), 38 requests for transactions to match plans or final receipt for residential projects, 15 requests to issue a no-objection certificate for government projects, one request for a groundwater drainage permit, and one request to approve service plans for road projects.

Municipal Operations and Inspection Department provides 11,753 services

Ayman Fadel, in charge of the Municipality's Control and Inspection Department, said that the total services provided by the Municipal Operations and Inspection Department amounted to 11,753 services during the past year, including 5,738 requests for draining sewers, 1,825 requests for reserving a public park playground, 3,510 requests from the public regarding cleaning and pest control for homes and government facilities, 323 services for combating public health pests with spraying and thermal fogging in the city, and 357 emergency services for combating scorpions, snakes, stray animals and rodents. While the Municipality's Public Health Department provided 2,033 services during the past year.

Services varied to include supervising the slaughtering and cutting of livestock 1,910 times, granting permits to distribute food supplies inside and outside the emirate 12 permits, in addition to other permits to distribute farm products 3 permits, and a permit to sell 5-gallon water in grocery stores and supermarkets 38 permits. In addition, 6 fish eligibility certificates, 5 benefit certificates, and 16 other benefit certificates for those concerned were provided, in addition to taking 9 samples of swimming pool water, 12 henna samples, and approving the issuance of 10 new commercial licenses.

The Public Health Department seeks to provide these services in a manner that ensures the health and safety of the city’s residents.

His Excellency Talib Abdullah Al Yahyaei, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said that the municipality continues to make every possible effort to provide diverse and comprehensive services to all segments of society, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, which contributes to improving the quality of life and enhancing the well-being of residents.

During the past year, the municipality provided 17,893 services, covering many areas of public health, agriculture, engineering services, and others, all with the aim of meeting the needs of citizens, residents, and visitors to the city, ensuring their comfort and happiness. He added that the municipality believes in the importance of its pioneering role in achieving sustainable development and providing a healthy and safe environment, and it is constantly working to improve the level of services to achieve customer satisfaction and contribute to building a prosperous society in Sharjah.
