Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Sports Club organised a special celebration to honor citizen athlete Matar Mohammed Al Ketbi on the occasion of his achievement of first place in the UAE Running Cup, held in the city of Khorfakkan.
This celebration is part of Al Dhaid Sports Club's strategy to promote national sports and support Emirati talents. It highlights the club's commitment to fostering a culture of sports achievement and fair competition at both local and international levels.
During the ceremony held on Monday at the club's headquarters, the player was honoured by His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al Howaiden Al Ketbi, Secretary-General of Al Dhaid Club, and Mahir Obaid Al Khail Al Tunaiji, the club's Executive Director, in the presence of the player's father, team manager Ahmed Rashid Al Ketbi, and team coach Qais Hajlawy.
In his speech at the event, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah bin Howaiden Al Ketbi expressed the pride of the Al Dhaid Club management in this achievement, which reflects the club's commitment to nurturing and developing sports talents. He pointed out that winning first place in a national championship of this magnitude is the result of collective efforts and fruitful collaboration among various parties.
For his part, the player's father, Matar, expressed his deep gratitude to the management of Al Dhaid Club and everyone who contributed to supporting his son throughout his sports journey, considering this achievement an inspiration for all young athletes.
