3rd "Sharjah football star" concludes with audience excitement

Sharjah 24: The third edition of 'Sharjah Football Stars Week' ended yesterday (Sunday), after commencing on Friday under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.

This unique event, organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, featured 145 professional footgolf players and 22 international football icons. 

Sharjah International Footgolf Championships

The Sharjah International Footgolf Championship, held over two days, featured fierce combat among 145 professional players from all around the world. Samo Marusinec finished first in the overall rankings, followed by English Ben Clarke in second and Spanish Sandro Felipe in third. 

Legends Paddle Tour Cup Final

Yesterday, on January 12, 2025, renowned luminaries competed fiercely in the Luminaries Paddle Tour Cup finals. Vincent Candela and Christian Panucci won first place, with Enrico Annoni and Dario Marcolin coming in second. 

Night of Stars

On January 11, 2025, the crowd watched the famed 'Night of Football Stars' match, a six-a-side football game. Rivaldo led the White Team, led by Francesco Totti, to an excellent 11-9 victory over the Blue Team.

"Sharjah Football Stars Week" is more than just a celebration of sports achievement; it also reflects Sharjah's rising reputation as a premier worldwide event location.  By organising major athletic events, the Emirate hopes to attract worldwide attention and develop community involvement.
