The tournament was hosted by the sports hall at Sharjah Sports Club, in Al Hazana, with the participation of more than 260 male and female players from 18 clubs from the UAE.
Sharjah Sports Club champions topped the competitions of the cubs category after they succeeded in winning the largest number of medals, and obtained 33 different medals, with 14 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
In the juniors category, Sharjah Sports Club players confirmed their superiority after winning first place with 16 coloured medals, including 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, to reap the largest number of medals, amounting to 49 medals.
Eng. Sulaiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Board Member and Head of Individual Games, congratulated the team on their strong and distinguished performance, which secured them the crowning of two cups in one of the strongest championships of the season.
Al Hajri pointed out that the Karate team has continued to excel in the past years, and has achieved a number of local achievements, and its players are essential elements in the UAE national teams, noting that the club works according to the strategy of sustainability and generational continuity, especially since the club is considered a source of distinguished players who have raised the country's flag in external competitions over the past years.
Al Hajri pointed out that the club's karate champions are waiting for an upcoming round in the kumite competitions, in which the men's, youth and under-21 categories will participate, and they are targeting first place to confirm their superiority and prove their worth.
At the end of his speech, Al Hajri expressed his thanks and appreciation for the unlimited support provided by Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) for individual games in Sharjah and the club, which was reflected in the distinguished results that the emirate's clubs have continued to achieve, extending his thanks to the Board of Directors for their continuous support.
