Launched in early October, the campaign was initiated under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with continued oversight from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The ship was welcomed by Dr. Nasser Yassin, Lebanon’s Minister of Environment and Head of Government Emergencies, along with Brigadier General Bassem Nabulsi, Chairman of the Supreme Relief Authority.
The relief shipment included a variety of food items, essentials for women and children, winter supplies, and shelter equipment.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, emphasised the UAE’s moral obligation to support Lebanon during this crisis. The UAE’s swift response is part of its humanitarian legacy, rooted in the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This effort aims to assist in the early recovery and stabilisation of Lebanon, in coordination with local authorities and international partners.
