The summit, organised by the UAE Government Media Office, is being held under the theme ‘Content for Good’ at various locations in Dubai. It brings together over 15,000 content creators, influencers, and more than 420 speakers from around the world, highlighting the significance of the content creator economy.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum spoke about the importance of content creation in fostering awareness, culture, and human development. He also highlighted how it contributes to driving progress through better systems and improved work structures.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that the UAE will continue to be a hub for digital media talent, citing the summit as a key step in building a sustainable content economy. The summit attracted top social media platforms like Snapchat, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) under one roof for the first time globally.
The summit also featured the One Billion Pitches competition, where startups and content creators with positive social impact were evaluated. Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the judging process and the impact of entrepreneurial ideas presented by participants.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, highlighted the UAE’s global leadership in shaping the content industry’s future. He affirmed the UAE's commitment to advancing this sector, fostering an ideal environment for creative talent, and investing in the rapidly expanding global creative economy.
This edition of the summit is playing a pivotal role in the growth of the content creator economy, valued at $250 billion globally. Over 10 investment funds, with a combined value of AED 50 million, are supporting content creators, and the competition has garnered applications from over 500 startups worldwide.
The summit is also awarding the One Billion Award, the largest and most valuable recognition for content creators globally. Public voting narrowed down the top five finalists, and the grand prize winner will be announced on the final day of the summit, receiving $1 million.
