Sharjah24: As part of its efforts to promote societal values and strengthen family connections, the Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), represented by the Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishment, organised an Inmate Family Forum under the banner of Gulf Inmate Week, themed "Towards the Path of Reform."

The Forum serves as an essential community initiative designed to strengthen familial connections between inmates and their families in a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. The initiative aims to strengthen human and social values by offering psychological and moral support to inmates, thereby aiding their successful reintegration into society.

Commitment to Social Responsibility and Rehabilitation

Colonel Abdullah Rashid Alai Al Naqbi, Acting Director of Punitive and Correctional Institution, emphasised Sharjah Police's dedication to social responsibility by promoting human connections and supporting rehabilitation. He underscored the institution's mission to equip inmates for a constructive future and stressed the significance of empowering them to attain reform for the advantage of their families and the community.

Cultural Enrichment and Memorable Experiences

The Forum showcased traditional artistic performances by inmates, fostering a lively atmosphere for all attendees. The "Mobile Museum" by the Sharjah Museums Authority added significant cultural value to the event, enhancing its success and positively influencing inmates, their families, and participants.
