In an interview with "Sharjah 24," Al Nuaimi emphasised the reopening of Al Doub Neighbourhood Park following its renovation and expansion to better serve the community's needs. This initiative is a crucial part of a comprehensive programme that aims to improve neighbourhood parks by ensuring a safe and healthy environment for both children and the elderly.
The renovation of the park featured the planting of lawns and flowering trees, which offer shade and elevate the natural beauty while promoting relaxation and psychological comfort.
She said: "We have incorporated modern facilities like walking paths, children's play areas, and seating options to ensure the park is welcoming for all age groups. The initiative complies with sustainability standards in both environmental and social aspects."
Al Nuaimi emphasised the importance of teaching children about agricultural sustainability through hands-on experiences. She said, “During the reopening, we launched a workshop titled ‘I Plant My Garden,’ providing an engaging learning experience about fundamental farming techniques in a straightforward and enjoyable manner.”
She added: "The workshop sought to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and educate children about the importance of sustainable agriculture in promoting ecological balance and improving the quality of everyday life. This is in accordance with the UAE’s approach to agricultural sustainability. We firmly believe that engaging children in these initiatives creates a solid foundation for a conscientious generation committed to a sustainable future."
