New features for visitors
The upgrades include the addition of two shaded play areas for children, as well as construction and repair work on the mosque and park fence. Additionally, new service buildings have been added, and existing water roundabouts and cafeterias have been maintained.
A Vibrant space for residents and visitors
Engineer Abdullah Al-Taniji, Director of the Branches Department, highlighted that the park spans 46,000 square meters and provides an atmosphere of fun, recreation, and enjoyment for local residents and visitors. A new rubber walking path, 750 meters long and 3 meters wide, has been added around the park, promoting outdoor activities and fitness.
Commitment to sustainability and quality of life
Al-Taniji emphasised that sustainability is central to the department’s initiatives, aimed at improving quality of life for the community. Expanding parks and recreational spaces plays a vital role in preserving the environment and enhancing the city's appeal, particularly Khorfakkan's distinctive location and natural beauty. These developments will further establish Khorfakkan as a popular destination for visitors both locally and internationally.
