Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has introduced five simple and secure methods for benefactors to pay their Zakat money, making the process more convenient and accessible.

This initiative aligns with the association's mission to support charitable efforts and maximize the impact of donations for the benefit of the needy.

1. Zakat payment via the official website

The association's official website offers a user-friendly and secure interface for paying Zakat. It includes a feature to calculate the Zakat due based on the donor's wealth, ensuring accuracy in line with Sharia principles.

2. Smart link for easy access

A smart link is available for donors to pay Zakat using their smartphones. This allows donations to be made anytime and from anywhere, offering a flexible and convenient solution.

3. Credit card payments

Donors can use their credit cards to complete Zakat payments quickly and securely, providing an efficient way to contribute.

4. Direct bank transfers

For those who prefer direct transfers, the association accepts payments via bank accounts at Dubai Islamic Bank, Sharjah Islamic Bank, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, ensuring that Zakat reaches its intended recipients directly.

5. Electronic payment platforms

Donors can also use electronic platforms such as "Apple Pay" and "Samsung Pay" to donate through their smartphones, providing a seamless and modern method of contributing.

Zakat contributions impacting lives

The Zakat collected helps improve the lives of eligible individuals, including poor families, students struggling with fees, patients in need of treatment, and individuals facing difficulties with rent or legal fees. The funds are distributed in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles to ensure fairness and transparency.

SCI's commitment to efficiency

Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity Association, emphasized the importance of making the Zakat payment process as easy as possible to ensure timely distribution to those in need. He noted that the annual Zakat expenditure reaches approximately 60 million dirhams, all directed towards assisting families and individuals in need across the country. The association continues to innovate and improve its donation channels, reinforcing its commitment to supporting charitable work.
