Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock has initiated the "Future Doctors Camp" for veterinary science students at the Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology, scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 December.
This initiative is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who advocates programmes aimed at nurturing national talent and empowering youth in both scientific and practical domains.

Mohammed Obaid bin Matar Al Tunaiji, Director of the Branch of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in the Central Region, stated: "The Future Doctors Camp showcases our strong dedication to providing youth with vital knowledge and skills in veterinary science, an important field that contributes to food security and environmental sustainability in Sharjah and the UAE."

Al Tunaiji added, "Through this camp, we seek to cultivate a generation equipped to address future challenges in this field by investing in youth, the foundation of creating a sustainable future for our nation."

The camp provides a thorough educational setting that integrates both theoretical and practical elements, allowing participants to obtain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary for the job market in this field.

He commended the students' enthusiasm for participating in the camp and encouraged them to fully engage in its varied activities, such as interactive workshops, scientific lectures, and discussion sessions aimed at enhancing expertise and knowledge in this important field.

The camp offers sophisticated educational and practical programmes designed to cultivate skilled national talent in veterinary science.

Participants acquire practical experience at model farms in the northern pastures, guided by experts from the Higher Colleges of Technology and the Department of Agriculture and Livestock. Additionally, they arrange field visits to specialised veterinary research centres.

The camp encourages students to embrace social responsibility, cultivates teamwork and self-reliance skills, and offers chances to discover the surrounding nature and environment. It emphasises the significance of animal welfare by advocating for appropriate conditions that improve their well-being and conservation.
