Sharjah Police opens Police Desert Park

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police opened the “Police Desert Park” in Al Kahif area of Al Batayeh. This park is a safe and integrated entertainment destination that combines entertainment and community awareness, with the aim of enhancing the connection and positive communication between the police and members of society.
His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Ibrahim bin Nassar, Director General of Resources and Support Services, said that the Desert Police Park is one of the most prominent annual initiatives of Sharjah Police that it organises for its members, their families and the public of all ages, confirming its keenness to provide qualitative initiatives that raise the level of community services that keep pace with the aspirations of community members. 

His Excellency pointed out that the park's role is not limited to being a recreational space only, but rather it is an innovative platform for spreading security awareness within an attractive environment that contributes to enhancing the quality of life, and building bridges of trust and partnership with the community, calling on all individuals and institutions to visit the park, which opens its doors throughout the week from 4 pm to 11 pm; to enjoy the various events and adventures in the midst of the winter desert atmosphere.

The park includes a variety of facilities that meet the needs of all groups, as it includes areas designated for games, spaces for families, and a theatre for holding security and community events. The park is also distinguished by its corners with a heritage character, such as: the heritage village and the entertainment village, in addition to the sand playgrounds corner. The park also contains an area designated for restaurants that include barbecue areas, in addition to a prayer hall that can accommodate up to 100 people, built in a historical style from recycled materials.
