Sharjah24: The final round of the Grand Prix of Sharjah - F1H2O UIM World Championship will commence Friday on Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoo, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
The event, organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), will take place from December 6 to 8 as part of the "Sharjah World Championship Week."
During a press conference, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, emphasised the importance of the event, now in its 23rd edition, as a key sporting competition and an encouragement for tourism in Sharjah. The championship marks the decisive final round of the 2024 season, where the world champion will be crowned. With a narrow points gap separating the nine competing teams, the title remains within reach for all contenders, adding excitement to the competition.
Concluding his statement, Al Midfa expressed his hopes for safety, success, and fair competition among all participants, extending a warm welcome to international delegations in the UAE and Sharjah.
