Sharjah 24: The Sharjah-Kalba International Show Jumping Championship commences tomorrow, following its elevation to the three-star category in international ratings.
The event will showcase 110 riders hailing from 28 countries, all vying for titles and a total prize fund of €148,500, which includes €56,800 designated for the Grand Prix competition.

The sixth Sharjah Equestrian Festival will feature the championship from December 5 to 8. The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, under the supervision of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, organises the event with sponsorships from Longines and Al Marwan.

The beaches of Kalba have uniquely crafted a Grand Prix course, featuring obstacles elevated to a height of 150 cm. The championship will include two unique two-phase competitions featuring obstacles at heights of 115 and 140 cm, three additional two-phase competitions with obstacles set at 120, 135, and 140 cm, as well as four single-round competitions with obstacles at 120 and 145 cm, in addition to two single-round competitions with obstacles at 130 cm.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Majid Al Qasimi, the chairman of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, leads the organizing committee.  Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyai, a board member of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation and the Director General of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, holds the position of Championship Director.
