Sharjah 24 – WAM: The 33rd edition of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses continues its European tour on Sunday, 26 July, with the seventh leg taking place at Duindigt Turf Racecourse in The Hague, Netherlands.

Held under the continued patronage of the UAE’s leadership, the prestigious series aims to support Arabian horse owners and breeders worldwide while preserving the breed’s heritage and strengthening its presence on the international racing stage.

Group 3 field and key contenders

The Group 3 race, run over 2,150 metres on turf, will feature 11 elite horses from leading European studs and stables, with competition beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time.

Among the leading contenders is Al Zeer, winner of the 2025 Belgium leg and runner-up in last year’s Netherlands race, alongside Farida P, the defending Netherlands champion and winner of the 2025 Sweden leg. They will be joined by a strong field of challengers, promising a highly competitive contest.

Organising Committee statement

Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses, said the Netherlands remains a key stop on the international calendar, reflecting the growing global stature of the series and its mission to promote the Arabian horse and preserve its authentic heritage. He also praised the strong participation of top owners, trainers, and horses, noting that it enhances the quality and prestige of the competition.
