UAE youth handball team qualifies for 2027 World Championship

Sharjah 24: The UAE Youth Handball Team has secured its place at the 2027 World Youth Handball Championship in North Macedonia after defeating host nation China 37–28 in the quarterfinals of the 19th Asian Championship in Zhuzhou, China. The decisive victory also guarantees the team a spot in the Asian Championship semifinals.

The national team's qualification caps off an impressive, unbeaten run in the tournament. During the preliminary round, the UAE finished second in its group after earning three victories over Japan (32–29), Qatar (29–24), and Kuwait (29–28), alongside draws against Iran (25–25) and South Korea (30–30).
