Borussia Dortmund thrashes Dinamo Zagreb in Champions League

Borussia Dortmund continued its push towards the top positions in the Champions League.

Dortmund secured a valuable 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the fifth round of the group stage.

Young English player Jamie Bino-Gittens opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 41st minute, followed by Algerian Rami Bensebaini, who added the second goal in the 56th minute. Guinean player Serhou Guirassy sealed the victory with a third goal in the 90th minute.

Dortmund’s points total rose to 12, marking their fourth win in the tournament and their second consecutive victory, with only one loss. They currently sit in fourth place, having achieved their third win away from home across various competitions this season.

Previously, Dortmund had also secured away victories, beating FC Phönix Lübeck in the DFB-Pokal and defeating Belgian side Club Brugge in the Champions League.

On the other hand, Dinamo Zagreb's points remain at 7, suffering their second loss in the competition, alongside two wins and one draw, placing them in twenty-second position
