The celebration was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; His Excellency Waleed Abdul Rahman Bu Khater, Second Vice Chairman of the Chamber; several members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Chamber; Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for the Support Services Sector; Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for the Communication and Business Sector; and several directors of departments and institutions operating under the umbrella of the Sharjah Chamber.
The celebration began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by a traditional performance by the Al Shaer Al Harbiyya Band, and a wide range of cultural and national events that embodied the cultural heritage of the UAE community, and reflected the legacy of the founding fathers, and expressed feelings of pride, honor and confidence in the pioneering achievements of the Union, its civilizational renaissance and the path of progress and sustainable development witnessed by the UAE in various fields.
Al Owais extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the wise leadership on this national occasion, pointing out that the Eid Al Etihad represents a milestone in the glorious history of the Emirates, and a national occasion in which feelings of pride and honor rise in the greatness and loftiness of our Union, from which we derive strength and determination to walk the path to a prosperous future, inspired by the values, principles and ideals established by the founding fathers whose hearts and wills united to build the edifice of the Union on solid and firm foundations and rules, with a humanitarian and civilized message, and with sustainable global achievements.
He pointed out that the 53rd Eid Al Etihad comes as the UAE is taking confident steps towards a prosperous future under our wise leadership that is leading the UAE towards a centenary of leadership and progress with unwavering determination and resolve and a clear forward-looking vision from which strategic plans emerge that enhance the sustainable development process witnessed by the country and consolidate its leading global position in various fields, stressing that the Sharjah Chamber, as it celebrates this glorious occasion, renews its determination and pledge to the nation and the wise leadership to continue the work process with all will and determination to achieve its goals of enhancing the leading economic position of the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE.
