SP and SPA present 79 new publications at SIBF

Sharjah 24: In a bid to enhance community awareness, Sharjah Police (SP) and the Sharjah Police Academy (SPA) are showcasing 79 new publications at the Sharjah International Book Fair, themed “It Starts With a Book.” The latest releases cover a range of subjects, including social issues, policing, and legal matters, demonstrating a dedication to enhancing security knowledge and fostering community awareness.
Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of SP, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to fostering cultural and community awareness through a variety of publications that reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He emphasised that reading and knowledge are crucial for cultivating an informed generation.

Brigadier Dr Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of SPSA, highlighted the Academy's involvement in the fair’s 43rd edition as an opportunity to present 35 new publications addressing contemporary security challenges. The Academy is conducting scientific workshops focused on innovative leadership, digital human rights, and security knowledge management.

Colonel Saif Al Dhaheri, director of the research centre at SP, emphasized the importance of the fair as a venue for disseminating security research. This year, the Research Centre is showcasing 42 new titles that delve into policing thought, criminal information systems, drug-related issues, and AI applications in security, enhancing visitors’ understanding of security challenges and solutions.

SP and SPA encourage readers to delve into their collection, designed to foster a sustainable knowledge environment within the community.
