Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council will take part in the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair, set to take place from November 6 to 17, 2024, at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
This initiative aims to strengthen communication with the community while familiarising visitors with the Council's role in parliamentary functions and community engagement.

Additionally, this involvement serves as a platform and an opportunity to promote the cultural and social values of the emirate, reinforcing the Council's dedication to supporting culture, community initiatives, and ongoing dialogue.

The SCC's pavilion stands out as a distinctive space that offers visitors insight into the Council's roles and objectives while showcasing recent publications and initiatives covering a range of topics.

Various brochures and publications will be prominently displayed alongside the Council's periodical magazine, "Sharjah Consultant." This magazine features 51 editions that highlight the Council's activities and efforts, enhancing public understanding of the vital role the Council plays in voicing the interests of the Sharjah community.

During the exhibition, the Council will present five brand-new publications, available to visitors for the first time. These works include key recommendations, draft laws, and reflections on the recent elections held in the Emirate of Sharjah in 2023.

Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council, stressed the significance of the Council’s involvement in the SIBF. This participation aligns with its mission to promote reading and cultural engagement while fostering connections within the community. Through its dedicated pavilion, the Council aims to provide a wealth of information about its various roles and initiatives.

He elaborated that the vision is closely linked to the significance of the book fair as a global event. This fair allows visitors to explore a wide range of books and publications while discovering various titles. The pavilion of the Council showcases both parliamentary and community culture, emphasising that culture and reading are fundamental to building a developed society. He eagerly anticipates visitors engaging with the Council’s publications and diverse offerings.

Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council, highlighted the significance of the Council’s involvement in this prominent cultural event. The Sharjah International Book Fair is recognised as an essential platform for exchanging knowledge and culture. The Council plans to participate and collaborate with various contributors, providing opportunities for interaction among all visitors to the exhibition. The focus will be on showcasing the latest publications and works. He stressed that the Council hopes to engage a broad audience at the exhibition to raise awareness about its role and objectives in supporting the Sharjah community.
