Sharjah 24: Alef Group, the leading real estate developer in Sharjah, has successfully launched the "Pink Hope Journey", a breast cancer awareness initiative in collaboration with Friends of Cancer Patients and the Sharjah Classic Cars Club. Demonstrating a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and community well-being, Alef Group organised this impactful campaign to promote early detection and support those affected by breast cancer.
The "Pink Hope Journey" featured the Pink Caravan, which began its route at the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, proceeded to Al Mamsha, and concluded at Zero 6 Mall, where a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 4:00 PM. The event was attended by Alef Group CEO, Mr. Issa Ataya, along with Badr Al Jaaidi, Programme Manager at Friends of Cancer Patients, and Ahmed Saif bin Handal, Director of the Sharjah Old Cars Museum. Following the ceremony, free examinations for volunteers were conducted, emphasising the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.

Mr. Issa Ataya, CEO of Alef Group, commented: "At Alef Group, corporate social responsibility is integral to our mission. The 'Pink Hope Journey' reflects our dedication to supporting the Sharjah community by raising awareness about breast cancer and promoting early detection. Collaborating with Friends of Cancer Patients and the Sharjah Classic Cars Club has amplified our efforts, and we are honored to contribute to such a meaningful cause."

Badr Al Jaaidi, Programme Manager at Friends of Cancer Patients, announced that the Pink Caravan has achieved a remarkable milestone this year. During the month of October alone, the number of free breast cancer screenings exceeded 14,000, setting a new record compared to previous years. Al Jaaidi emphasised that this accomplishment would not have been possible without the fruitful cooperation of our partners, such as Alef Group, reflecting our ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness on a broader scale.

He concluded by stating, “This success represents a significant step toward achieving our national goals of fostering a culture of prevention and providing advanced health services that contribute to enhancing the quality of life. We believe that strategic partnerships are a fundamental pillar in our journey toward a healthy and sustainable society.”

Ahmed Saif bin Handal, Director of the Sharjah Old Cars Museum, stated, “Our participation in this journey reaffirms our commitment to supporting community initiatives aimed at promoting health awareness within our society. Through this collaboration, we seek to emphasise that the Sharjah Classic Cars Club is not just a club, but a platform for community engagement and addressing significant societal issues. We believe in the importance of our role in supporting these health and humanitarian causes, and we are pleased to be part of this event that strives to enhance awareness and solidarity with cancer patients.”

Adding a unique touch to the campaign, a collection of classic cars from the Sharjah Classic Cars Club, adorned with the "Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign" logo, participated in the journey. This collaboration not only attracted attention but also symbolised unity and the shared commitment to health and wellness.

The event saw significant participation from the community, with many attendees taking advantage of the free screenings provided by the Pink Caravan. The initiative highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing health issues and showcased Alef Group's ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
