Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced that it has allocated 25.8 million dirhams to its charitable medical programs for individuals in need within the country, addressing the treatment of a significant number of patients living in the UAE.
The Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International, Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, emphasized that the organization's vision and the message of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, place significant emphasis on medical aid programs, as they enable individuals to become self-reliant. Good health is a crucial foundation for an individual's capacity to work and generate income.

The charity has concentrated its treatment programs on addressing the medical expenses for low-income patients, including both citizens and residents of the UAE. The organization has focused its efforts on addressing medical aid as an urgent priority and providing care to patients from all Emirates across the nation.

Ibn Khadim noted that the charity has provided treatment for 1,204 patients in the UAE at a cost of 25.8 million dirhams during the first nine months of this year, in contrast to 853 cases in the same period last year. These instances encompassed cancer therapies, renal failure, and the settlement of medical expenses. Additionally, they provided organ transplants for patients, provided medical devices for individuals with special needs, and conducted eye and dental examinations.

He continued: The medical aid also encompassed the expenses associated with surgeries for critical conditions that require immediate attention, including catheter procedures, heart ailments, strokes, and transplants of essential organs such as the liver, bone marrow, and kidneys.

Abdullah bin Khadem conveyed his sincere gratitude to the charity’s donors for their compassionate efforts in easing the suffering of patients. He also encouraged the public to utilize the easily accessible donation channels provided through the website and its smart links, ensuring that charitable contributions effectively reach those in need and thereby preventing severe complications for patients who require urgent treatment.
