Sharjah24: The Comprehensive Police Stations Department and the Media and Public Relations Department of the Sharjah Police General Command, in partnership with strategic allies such as the Sharjah City Municipality and Sharjah Economic Development Department, have initiated a security awareness campaign named “Safe Construction Environment”. The campaign, scheduled to run until November, aims to educate the public about the heightened vulnerability of construction sites to theft. Its broader goal is to increase community awareness of negative occurrences, mitigate their impact, and prevent associated risks, aligning with the overarching strategy of the Sharjah Police to bolster security and safety.
The Sharjah Police, along with its strategic partners, urge building and facility owners, as well as individuals and companies, to collaborate with security authorities and implement preventive measures to deter theft and unauthorized activities at construction sites. These measures include installing surveillance cameras, assigning a guard to the site, and ensuring the installation of temporary barriers or fences during the construction process. Additionally, it is advised not to purchase any building materials without an official purchase document from the seller to avoid legal consequences.
